Tetris Addiction
Tetris Addiction I am addicted to Tetris. This may seem silly, but I assure it is not. It is very serious. I have a major addiction to this game. It is getting really bad. It all started when I purchased this USB Hard Drive from Seagate. Very nice and wonderful 160 GB 2.5" USB Hard Drive that has some nice features like file backups and file synchronization. Also it has desktop virtualization that allows you to more or less use it like a computer. You can plug it into a computer and it has its own cool little start menu. I love this. However this is where the problem began. It had nice free apps you could download. I have always been a gamer, but it never posed any problems. Until now. I downloaded this package of games that I thought would be cool. The games consist of old Atari Games in addition to Tetris. I played Asteroids and Pacman and Pong and Space Invaders for a while. It was fun. Then I played an old computer game, Snake. That got old. I started playing Tetris. A game I hadn't played in years. I mean the last time I remember playing this game, I was in Junior High. Man. I am getting old. Then it began. First it was Tetris after work. Then it was Tetris while I ate breafast. It got worse. It took the place of my XBOX 360. I can't remember the last time I actually played COD2. (that is call of duty for you non-gamers) And that was only the beginning. I was literally playing this game every spare hour I had. Then it got even worse. I would be driving down the road. Talking to someone on the phone. Taking a shower. Fixing someone's computer. I'm an IT Consultant. And all during those activities, that damn computer screen would pop in my head, and I would be playing the game in my head. WTF? I need help. I need serious help. That's okay. I'll get help. Where's my yellow pages? Here it is. Let's see Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous... What? Where is Tetris Addicition Anonymous? I though the Yellow Pages had everything. I'm suing for false advertisement. You can find IT in the Yellow Pages. No you can't! Where's my Tetris Addiction hotline? Not there. I'm screwed. I know. I'll quit cold turkey. That worked for my smoking habit. Hmmm... yeah. I'll quit after one last game. Sad thing is... I couldn't even finish this post before I got distracted by another game of Tetris. At first it was just for screen shots for this post, but then it was about fitting those pieces together. This game is soooo addictive. |
