GoDaddy Web Hosting Review
GoDaddy Web Hosting and Domains Over the past several years I have used a number of web hosts, and I have to say that by far GoDaddy has always been the best. I have tried different companies, that each had their own advantages, but by far GoDaddy Web Hosting was the best. There is no web host company quite like GoDaddy. They seem to always raise the bar when it comes to services offered, and when it comes to layout of their website. Now GoDaddy isn't perfect, and I never have liked their checkout setup. I mean the part where you pay for the domains at the end. But other than that, the applications offered, the prices, and the service cannot be matched by any other company. Some will recommend other companies for your hosting needs, and it may be true that they are better in rare cases, but for the most part those are sites just looking for affiliate income. I am not saying this is a bad thing, because everyone has to eat, right? But what I am saying is that most of the time the typical person is not going to find a better company to host their website with than GoDaddy. Their layout for domain management is absolutely superb to any other companies. This would apply to those of you that are going to be registering multiple domains. The different aspects to domains are wonderful. It is so easy to add sub domains and mask domains and forward domains, and anything else you want to do with a domain. This is a high priority in my book. As far as the hosting goes, it is wonderful for someone with little to no technical skills, because their website builder is a piece of cake to use to setup a website. Now I don't like that you can't export the content to move it to a better hosting account, but the ease of setting up a site with that is just amazing. Then there is the application installer. It isn't fantastico, but it really makes setting up a blog or forum really easy. And if you don't like using that application installer then you can setup a MySQL database yourself with ease using the database creator and phpmyadmin. Backups are easy to do on the site. Changing domains connected to a hosting account is easy. If you are into domain flipping or site flipping you can push a domain with ease. I highly recommend GoDaddy for this simple reason. But the thing that sets GoDaddy apart from any other company is their amazing customer support. I don't remember ever waiting on hold for more than a minute or two. This is very acceptable to me, because I have dealt with a lot of companies, which think it is okay to leave a customer in queue for 30 minutes. That is not acceptable to me. I have never ever had that problem with GoDaddy. On top of that the person on the other end of the line knows exactly what they are talking about. GoDaddy is by far the only company I know of that I have dealt with that this fact stayed true throughout the years. I guess that is why I have to give GoDaddy the highest recommendation anyone can give. Five stars, a 10 out of 10, two thumbs up, or whatever you want to say... GoDaddy is as close to perfect as it gets in the web hosting world. |
